The early stages of a church’s development are crucial to her success and health. A biblical and unified leadership team is key to having a healthy church. The desire of GBC is to have a body of deacons serving the church and a plurality of elders shepherding the body. We are convinced that the New Testament points to the principle of a plurality of elders governing and shepherding the church until Christ returns. Equally, we trust that God will give to our developing church good and godly men that have been tested and affirmed to serve as elders (Acts 14:23 and 1 Tim. 5:22-25).
The leadership team here at Grace is composed of deacons and elders. We want to emphasize the word "team." The Bible teaches that both deacons and elders form a biblical leadership structure. Currently, GBC has three elders (Tit. 1:5-9), and three servant leaders that oversee our ministry teams. These leaders oversee Grace Kids, Grace Toddlers, Grace Nursery and Hospitality ministries (Acts 6:3).
